
A truck driver heading to Gibraltar from Turkey on sat-nav ended up 1,600 miles adrift – at Skegness.
Bird watchers at Gibraltar Point nature reserve looked on in amazement as his 32-ton lorry struggled along a narrow track.
Driver Necdet Bakimci had nowhere to go except the North Sea at Lincolnshire in front of him.

He was looking for Coral Road on Gibraltar in southern Spain.
It took him almost an hour to turn around his truck of prestige cars.
The confusion came about because the Rock of Gibraltar is considered part of the UK – and sat-nav systems would list it as such.
