		<description>Just thought I&#039;d mention that the whole salute to the french thing that you are talking about is actually done with 2 fingers. The british gesture, the reverse of the victory sign, means the same as your 1 fingered salute but it was these 2 fingers which were both used to draw back the string of the bow. The article is about the origin of the two finger gesture and not your 1 fingered salute. Sorry chum, you &#039;ve got it wrong.</description>
